Gamify Your Life: What Does Gamify Mean?
According to Dictionary.com
What Do You Do First to Gamify Your Life?
First, decide how many levels you want to have. Chris Record in the speech replay, Gamify Life uses 10 levels.
Next, determine what you want your goal to be. Is it to get healthy, grow your business, etc?
Then, write or type your current progress. That is level 0.
After that, determine what your top level looks like.
Finally, fill the mini-goals or progress points for each level.
Now, that you've decided what you want to do for each level. Plan your rewards (if you are motivated by avoiding pain, then plan your punishments).
Keep in mind this doesn't have to be a huge trip to Paris or anything. Well, maybe if you hit level 10. 🙂 Your rewards and be simple and cheap. One thing I enjoy doing is visiting area museums and gardens. While this is always a cheap reward, there are so many in the area I live in within driving distance that it's easy to find places to go. If you like one particular place, buy a membership if you will visit enough to pay for it.
Another thing I like to do is to read. And I mean romance stuff. So I could reward myself with either buying a new book or borrowing one from a library.
You get the drift. If you want more ideas, ask in the comments below, find me on Facebook, etc.
