Just like it's important to learn the history of our country, it's important to learn the foundations of Network Marketing. In this post, you'll learn Network Marketing Basics.

In the picture above you see three pictures representing a part of the United States and more specifically, Delaware's history.

On the far left, is a picture I took of George Read's house. He was a signer of the Declaration of Independence for Delaware. This represents the foundation of the US.

The middle picture is of the cobblestone street with pavement in the middle of the street. The cobblestones are the foundation of the road.

And on the far right, is the Old Courthouse where Delaware declared its independence from both Pennsylvania and England. And the courthouse represents the foundation of both Delaware and the US.

It's important to learn history… world history or you're bound to repeat it.

Network Marketing Basics: 7 Foundation Steps

So what's the point of learning history and network marketing? Easy. Learn the mistakes others did so you don't repeat them and learn their successes so you can model them.

Here's a quick video I did comparing history and network marketing. I was live on Facebook in Old New Castle. Apparently, the town decided it was tree pruning day and they were coming my way.

In Eric Worre's book, GO Pro: 7 Steps To Becoming A Network Marketing Professional (aff link), he list the following 7 skills that need to be learned.

  1. Finding Prospects
  2. Inviting Prospects  to Understand Your Product or Opportunity
  3. Presenting Your Product or Opportunity to Your Prospects
  4. Following Up With Your Prospects
  5. Helping Your Prospects Become Customers or Distributors
  6. Helping Your New Distributor Get Started Right
  7. Promoting Events

I'm not going to explain each step because you really should get the book or audio (aff links) and learn it from the expert.

If you work online, the network marketing basics are the same. You still need to connect with new people. You still need to get their contact info, and you need to close. The only thing to add is creating content.

So, what would you add to the network marketing basics? Share in the comments section below or message me on Facebook.
